Supported projects in Spain
The largest share of support from the grant schemes in Spain went to protection of the environment and cultural heritage. The environmental projects included measures to protect forest areas from devastating wildfires and protect biodiversity in these areas.
Grants to cultural heritage contributed to the restoration of several historical sites related to the ancient Roman road "Vía de la Plata" and also supported urban renewal projects.
